Ok, lockdown sucks.
Companies and people are having to make sacrifices. But, this is no excuse for being creatively lazy. In fact, it should be seen as an opportunity to do something interesting as can be seen from many brands.
Have you noticed that a number of banks currently advertising on TV seem to have the same creative agency, either that or they don't have a spark of creativity between them for doing something different?
These ads from UK banks currently running are basically the same. I'm not questioning the content, but there must be some other ways to present these messages:
BARCLAYS
NATWEST
RBS
NATIONWIDE
HSBC
Ok they've tried something slightly different but it's not a million miles away from the sentiment of the others.
Still, at least they've all published something to stay in touch with their customers at this strange time. The likes of Lloyds, Santander and TSB don't seem to have bothered reaching out to consumers via mass media so far.
